Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission (WHSCC)
WHSCC serves over 16,700 employers and approximately 12,000 injured workers. WHSCC is an employer-funded, no fault insurance system that promotes safe and healthy workplaces, provides return-to-work programs and fair compensation to injured workers and their dependants.

The Association of Workers' Compensation Boards of Canada (AWCBC)
AWCBC was founded in 1919 as a non-profit organization to facilitate the exchange of information between workers' compensation boards and commissions, at a time when workers' compensation law, policy, and administration were in their infancy. Today, the AWCBC strives to achieve excellence through data analysis, shared knowledge, education and networking.

The Association of Workers’ Compensation Boards of Canada (AWCBC) has coordinated an annual Workers’ Compensation Learning Symposium for members since 1988. This national symposium is an annual event hosted by different workers’ compensation boards each year. The program addresses workers’ compensation administrative topics at a basic, advanced and Board of Director level. The 2009 Learning Symposium is being hosted by the Workplace, Health, Safety and Compensation Commission of Newfoundland and Labrador in St. John’s, NL from October 5 to 9, 2009.
